The Gray Wolf is a species of wolf recognized as Endangered by the US Government and Extirpated by New York State. This species of wolf’s numbers have dropped as low as 150 per state due to destruction of their natural habitat and and hunting wolves for game. The polluted waters becomes undrinkable to the gray wolf’s prey, such as moose. This causes the moose population to decrease; and fewer moose means fewer gray wolves. The Gray Wolf is an endangered species because of the actions of humans. Pollution is a large contributing factor, and so one of our programs will be to filter the water sources in the wolves’ natural habitat. This way, once we restore their natural habitat and the wolf population returns back to normal, gray wolves don’t have to fear near extinction again.
Using donations, our organizations goal is to help spread awareness of the growing issue of this endangered species, and encourage people to help preserve and save these wolves from being killed and lost thanks to human indecency like so many species have been in the past. Our aim is to get NYS or Federal land reserves for the Gray Wolfs to live, and to help maintain them with your donations and help from volunteers.
